Comedy Night

The talented and wonderful comedian Wendy Berkowitz, hosts our comedy showcase at Wayzata Brew Works. Shows will be on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month...with a bonus show if there are five Thursdays! Each show will have three professional comics performing feature length sets. In addition, there will be a couple of up and coming talented local comics performing. Parental guidance is highly encouraged. :

The comics for tonight’s show are:

James Wells was the 2017 Funniest Person with a Day Job. It is 2018 and James is still funny. Come and hear him bring his Blue Collar Gucci to White Collar Wayzata.

Shelly Paul is the oldest of five kids and was born and raised in Minnesota, where she started doing stand-up in January of 2014. Her comedy is incredibly personal, bitingly poignant and just a little bit absurd. She’s not afraid to be vulnerable and honest on stage, which might make you leave her shows feeling that somehow you’ve known her your whole life, and are pretty sure that you’ve got matching tattoos to prove it. Wait, what? Shelly is a co-producer of the monthly show “PSSY CTRL” at the Comedy Corner Underground, a club where she is also a show-runner, producer and frequent performer. She was winner of the House of Comedy’s “Funniest Person with a Day Job” contest in 2016. She was a producer and host for the 2018 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival. She has opened for Tom Green, Michelle Biloon and Joe Zimmerman and was named one of the top 5 comics to watch in Minneapolis by Growler Magazine in 2017.

Rick Logan has been making people laugh for all of his life. Originally from the East Coast, Rick performed and clowned around the streets of Philadelphia and the Boardwalk of Atlantic City. He then moved to Minnesota and started performing.
Since starting stand-up, Rick has won "Funniest Person in the Twin Cities" (2008) and  opened for the one and only Carrot Top at the Luxor in Las Vegas. In opening for Carrot Top, Rick also got to perform stand-up on the Southwest Airlines flight to Vegas - becoming the ONLY member  of "The Mile High Club: Comedy Division".
Rick has been seen on the comedy stages of Acme Comedy Company, The Joke Joint, Rick Bronson's House of Comedy, Laughter in the Loft, MinneHaHa Comedy Club, Comedy Corner Underground, Willy's, Grumpy's, Goonies, and anywhere else there's a microphone and people looking to laugh.
