Plymouth Rotary Brew Fest
The Rotary Club of Plymouth has a long history of serving our local community. We are excited to announce “And the Beat Goes On” Brewfest, a new event positioned to raise funds for to further expand our Heart Safe program.
Our goal is simple – to make our community a safer place to live, work and play. Through Heart Safe, we have:
- Educated and trained over 3,600 people on the emergency treatment of Sudden Cardiac Arrest through the life-saving skills of CPR and the use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators). This training has been offered free of charge through our members and fundraising efforts.
- Promoted and assisted with the acquisition of AEDs so more of them are readily available in our community. To date, we have provided eight AEDs to organizations in our community. Businesses who have participated in training have purchased an additional 8-10 AED’s.
- Helped get AEDs in our community listed on the National AED Registry so their location is available to 911 operators.
Funds raised through the “And the Beat Goes On” Brewfest will help us train more people, provide more AEDs and . . . save more lives. What better month than February to draw attention to this important initiative! The event will be held on Sunday, February 26 from 3-6 p.m. at the Plymouth Creek Center, located at 14800 34th Ave. N. in Plymouth. We expect over 250 in attendance. Come – join the fun.
